Xinghua Green Wins the FIA Food Ingredients Excellence Award; Its Technological Innovations Recognised by the Industry

   

       

        On 17 June, at the ‘HI Health Appreciation Dinner’ hosted by Hi & Fi Asia-China, Xinghua GL stevia Bioproducts Co., Ltd. was awarded the ‘Food Ingredients Excellence Award’ by the exhibition organisers in recognition of its innovative application of enzymatic modification technology in the development of natural steviosides.

Stevioside, a highly concentrated sweetener derived from natural plant extracts, has faced certain limitations in its past applications due to its slight aftertaste and bitter finish. Through in-depth research into the relationship between the structure and sensory characteristics of stevioside, Xinghua GL stevia has utilised cyclodextrin glucosyltransferase technology to innovatively modify the structure of stevioside. This innovation has not only significantly enhanced the taste of stevioside, making it fuller and rounder, but has also effectively reduced the perception of bitterness and aftertaste.

At the exhibition, the company highlighted its GSG series of enzyme-modified glucosyl steviosides. Thanks to their excellent solubility, heat stability and a purer, more balanced sweetness profile, the GSG products demonstrate outstanding formulation compatibility in food and beverage applications, offering a new solution to the issues of taste and stability associated with traditional steviosides in certain application scenarios.
